OPIS, a Dow Jones company, is one of the world's most comprehensive sources for petroleum pricing and news information. OPIS provides real-time and historical spot, wholesale/rack, and retail fuel prices for the refined products,

renewable fuels, and natural gas and gas liquids (LPG) industries. At its core, OPIS uses a set of complex IT systems and tools, handling huge amounts of data in a reliable way and providing customers with business applications to use this data as efficiently as possible.

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for an IT Project Manager/Scrum Master that will plan, lead,

organize, and motivate an agile project team to achieve a high level of

performance and quality while delivering agile projects that provide exceptional business value to the organization, its customers, and end-users. The IT Project Manager may be responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility projects and/or initiatives using agile methods in a fast-paced environment. He/She may play a number of different roles including business analyst, ScrumMaster, software tester, liaison, data analyst, product manager, and trainer/coaching addition to project manager to deliver successful project results.

YOUR EXPERTISE

  • 7+ years of increasing responsibility as Project Manager or Scrum Master

  • 7+ years of people-leader skills in coaching or mentoring

  • Experience managing large-scale strategic projects in a fast-paced Agile environment

  • Solid understanding of Agile project management principles and how to adapt them to new business environments

  • Effective communicator with development and business teams

  • An organized and creative storyteller through story maps, epics, user stories, release planning, Kanban boards, relative sizing estimation techniques, feedback loops, and team metrics

  • A strong analytical thinker with a love for planning and organization who can manage competing demands with minimal supervision

  • Someone who loves to listen, easily understands business needs, and can establish a high level of trust and confidence with customers, stakeholders, and organizational leadership

  • A self-starter with a never-ending curiosity to learn and solve problems

  • Able to maintain the “big picture” without losing sight of the complexity within and a knack for communicating various layers of detail clearly to appropriate audiences

  • A natural facilitator when it comes to collaboration/brainstorming, negotiating, and team building sessions

  • UX/UI mockup and prototyping tools such as Balsamiq, Sketch, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Managing and developing employees, goal setting and maintaining providing a career path and growth opportunities

  • Developing product roadmaps that balance both Line of Business and Technical Development priorities

  • Creating and maintaining team and divisional metrics that drive continuous improvement and build high performing teams
