About the Role:

As a Senior Sales & Business Development Executive, you will own a specific set of named accounts within the OPIS sales region and be responsible for the revenue growth across OPIS through retention, upselling, and cross-selling. You will focus on identifying, qualifying, negotiating, and closing new business to exceed sales targets.You will build a strong network with the decision makers within customers' organizations to expand and reinforce relationships and create new opportunities for sales of products, services, and consulting engagements. You will also work with Product and Sales Management to ensure proper positioning of solutions. You will report directly to the Executive Director of Sales & Business Development.

You Will:

  • Develop and execute account plans & strategies for key customers together with sales & business leadership

  • Deliver solution presentations to new customers, develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and close business expediently

  • Understand the product sales cycle and challenges, including the strategies of competitors, and leverage this knowledge to hone sales strategies

  • Generate leads from face-to-face customers meetings and follow inbound leads from marketing, the research teams, industry events, and other sources

  • Create and manage your sales pipeline of new business opportunities in the CRM system and provide monthly forecasts based on those opportunities

You Have:

  • 7 years' sales experience; at least 5 of which include selling commodity price data, news, and analytics to customers in the energy, chemical, and renewables spaces

  • Business-to-business direct sales background with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas

  • Experience calling on Senior executives in the Energy and Chemical Industry

  • Working knowledge of business economics and comfort discussing value propositions with customers

  • Negotiated and closed complex sales whilst building relationships with clients

  • Experience uncovering the needs of customers and the buying process at private and public multinational companies

  • A consultative and value selling methodology that considers a deep understanding of clients' needs, challenges, and goals

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, NetSuite, and Salesforce.com (preferred)
