We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst, I to work closely with our broad data assets across the organization as we launch an exciting new enterprise governance program. This role will be empowered to provide leadership and management of key governance activities related to metadata management for our oil pricing business unit.
Your Main Responsibilities
Perform application front-end work related to metadata management
Create a business glossary of terms and identify all enterprise data assets
Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support the implementation of new metadata management processes
Document business rules, transformation rules, calculations, and derivations
Document data security/privacy levels according to existing policy and standards
Become a subject matter expert with our metadata management software and support implementation efforts, including training colleagues to leverage system capabilities
Create accurate impact and lineage capabilities
Document stewardship to enable accountability
Ensure metadata quality, consistency, currency, and security
Leverage KPI metrics to increase utilization and adoption
Your Expertise
University degree (Bachelors or equivalent) in Business Administration, Operations Management, Quality, Computer Sciences, or related fields
Typically requires 5+ years industry related experience
Technical and/or business writing experience
Familiarity with the Data Management International (DAMA.org) body of knowledge or other metadata management best practices
Proficient in use of MS Office applications
Experience with a metadata management platform is a plus
