Dow Jones Purchasing Analyst in United States

Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and track work requests through ticketing system and shared email account for creation of PO’s, vendor setup and other inquiries.

  • Create requisitions by coordinating with users to get vital information to complete work.

  • Receive items in the system for PO invoices as needed and assist employees with invoice processing.

  • Coordinate with vendors to establish new vendors in the system by getting all required details including W9 forms and banking information.

  • Update existing vendors for changes in banking, addresses, contact information and to eliminate duplicate or inaccurate information.

  • Coordinate to get match exceptions cleared

  • Run queries and do analysis to assist with conversion of non-PO invoices to PO process.

  • Train and support users to follow standard business processes and promote electronic invoicing and payments.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Need good understanding of large ERP systems like Oracle Financials, JDE, SAP, PeopleSoft, etc – Preferably PeopleSoft Financials

  • Need to have overall knowledge or experience in handling Procure to pay business processes and vendor management (eProcurement, Purchasing and Accounts Payable)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook.

  • Need to have very good communication skills as the person will be dealing with employees throughout the company as well as vendors.

  • Need to be able to track and manage work effort with good follow up skills.

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree and 2 to 3 years experience in above areas
