Your Role

We are looking for a Director-level candidate to lead and implement our largest data governance initiative to launch an enterprise Data Governance platform. In your role, you will work closely with all the data resources across the organization to create the policies and implement the technology to launch an enterprise governance program.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Develop the overall Data Governance strategy across multiple divisions to lead and manage an enterprise Data Governance and Metadata Management program which brings high value to the business

  • Lead, hire and manage a team of highly skilled Agile data engineers and analysts to implement an enterprise technology platform that features Metadata Management, Business Glossary, Lineage and Impact, and Data Quality modules

  • Create and communicate the overall Data Governance mission, vision, and strategic objectives

  • Partner and work cross-functionally with Business Leaders, Data Owners, and Operations to promote, support, and adhere to the standards, best practices and policies which ensure data consistency, quality, and integrity across all data assets

  • Develop the implementation investment plan, architecture and roadmap to meet current and future business needs and objectives

  • Ensure the Data Governance program and technology platform tracks and adheres to privacy and compliance regulations

  • Create executive BI dashboards and presentations to report on data quality metrics and provide valuation of our overall data assets

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and its data including business terms, customer requirements, industry knowledge, and regulatory impacts

  • Evaluate and garner a deep technical understanding of the latest cloud-based Data Governance technology platforms, keeping up with the latest industry best practices in this space

Your Expertise

  • 12+ years leadership experience leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide programs

  • 10+ years of experience integrating complex data processes and technology strategies

  • 10+ years of experience creating investment budgets, implementation plans, and project roadmaps and getting buy-in from Executive leadership

  • 8+ years of experience in data governance management including expert understanding of policy and principles around metadata management, reference data management, business glossary, lineage, data quality, and privacy and compliance

  • 8+ years of People Management experience

  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence and analytics reporting, preferable
