Oil, gas, and fuel markets rely on OPIS spot benchmarks in refined products, NGLs and LPG, ethanol and biofuels, refinery feedstocks, and petrochemicals. OPIS’ price-discovery methodologies are in accordance with IOSCO (International Organization of Securities Commissions) Principles for Oil Price Reporting Agencies and with European Union Benchmark Regulation (BMR).
You will be responsible for covering the refined products market.
Assess and publish daily price assessments according to prescribed methodology
Ensure operational continuity and support business development initiatives
Provide daily market commentaries and market stories
Provide reporting backup for colleagues when needed
Identify, research and report on new developments in oil and gas markets.
Network and develop sources in the Asia oil industry.
Support commercial product strategies.
Contribute to social media content, blog postings, industry analysis as needed.
Experience in energy pricing reporting. Experience in the trading markets may be considered.
Strong communication, writing, and networking skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability for business development and market engagement. Familiarity with existing industry contacts is a plus.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent standard.
Ability to analyze data and market drivers quickly. Good knowledge of Excel and spreadsheets.
Strong competency in public speaking and presentation would be beneficial.
Ability to converse in Asian languages would be an advantage
