Position Title: Manager, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), 4 months Contract
Reports to: Director, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), Risk & Compliance, Data Strategy
The role of Manager, Politically Exposed Persons, within Risk & Compliance, is to lead, in a collaborative environment, a team researching, compiling and updating information on Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) and their Relatives and Close Associate (RCA) for the Dow Jones Risk & Compliance database. This is a temporary position based in Singapore to manage a team of researchers in charge of the creation and maintenance of PEP and RCA content. The Manager reports to the Director of the Politically Exposed Persons Team.
The Manager is responsible for training, supporting, motivating, coaching and developing the team, ensuring the team’s goals are met and contributing to the improvement of the team’s workflows and tools efficiency. The Manager works closely with the PEP Team Director, his/her peers and the rest of the Risk & Compliance management team to ensure that Risk & Compliance content meets client requirements in terms of accuracy, completeness and timeliness.

The Risk & Compliance division is part of Dow Jones Data Strategy which produces leading databases, electronic media, newsletters, conferences, directories, webinars, custom publications and other information services on specialized markets and industry sectors.
Manage a team of researchers by communicating team objectives and goals, monitoring and evaluating performance, and allocating available resources.
Supervise, support, and develop team to maximize potential through motivation, coaching, counseling, and delegation.
Provide regular and transparent communication across the team regarding their performance to ensure company goals are met.
Assist with recruitment and training.
Assist with quality monitoring and setting team goals.
Ensure the profiles created and updated by the team are complete, accurate and up-to-date and that changes in political roles are processed in a timely manner.
Ensure the team meets its Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and provides the best content possible to our clients.
Ensure client and internal queries are handled correctly and in a timely manner.
Contribute to the improvement of the team’s processes, tools and workflows to maximize their efficiency.
Contribute to the development of the team’s Business Process Management (BPM) tool.
Support the PEP Team Director and the rest of the Risk & Compliance management team to drive key business decisions and initiatives.
Collaborate with other Data Strategy teams to deliver projects and initiatives.
Collaborate, engage with other departments, and be a knowledgeable and trustworthy business partner with stakeholders.
Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
Understanding of Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) content.
Understanding of the Risk & Compliance database, its structure, content, research methodology, tools and workflows.
Ability to identify wholly with Dow Jones’ service obligations to its clients.
Excellent research and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to efficiently prioritise tasks.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and to build and maintain good working relationships.
Proficient in Google G Suite and Microsoft Office.

Education to degree level.
This is a 4 months contract role to cover maternity.
