We are looking for a Quality Analyst to join our global team Lists Assurance team of 4 Quality Analysts.
The team’s primary role is to ensure and promote the quality of output by the research team responsible for the Dow Jones Risk & Compliance Sanctions and Other Official Lists (“Special Lists”) content. This content is key for two Risk & Compliance products: Dow Jones Watchlist, which is a global database of Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and sanctioned entities/individuals, their relatives and close associates, and Dow Jones Sanction Alert, which is a sanctions-specific feed optimized for payments screening.
You will report to the Manager of Lists Assurance.
Conduct quality checks within set deadlines and according to existing processes.
Manually and automatically proof the details of the Special Lists data produced by the Special Lists research team.
Ensure data consistency, accuracy, completeness and timeliness across Special Lists content.
Adhere to robust pre-production quality processes.
Log issues, take remedial action, and send feedback where necessary.
Collaborate with Special Lists editors, automation team, and post-production quality team to improve processes and data quality across all content.
Work on technical aspects of both the existing and new automation tasks/projects.
Work with manager and colleagues to implement automation, expand existing scope and generate team efficiencies.
Contribute to the development and refinement of research methodologies, quality-assurance, and all other processes.
Innovative and strategic way of thinking to address complex quality issues.
The ability to handle large and complex data sets in various formats.
Advanced Excel Knowledge including Macros, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, Formulas (arrays, lookups, logical, reference, and text functions).
Fluency in written and spoken English and at least one other language.
Research, editorial and analytical skills.
Web-searching and keyboard skills.
Proofreading skills and ability to handle large volumes of information.
Presentation and communication skills.
The ability to work as part of a team and to tight deadlines, and to adapt readily to changing customer expectations.
Experience in process or data automation/coding.
Experience in sanctions, counter-terrorism or other regulations.
Experience in working with a global team.
Education to degree level.
