Job Description:

Summary: This position is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, delivery and evaluation of comprehensive corporate global well-being initiatives. This role will help develop, deploy and administer programs that create awareness, motivation and provide tools to employees that help them adapt and maintain a well rounded healthy lifestyle. This global role will also act as support to the global benefits team in project based work throughout the year, including preparation for annual enrollment, communication campaigns, liaise with Internal Resource Groups (IRG), mental health and wellbeing, regional occupational health and safety groups, and onsite fitness centers where applicable.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, manage, and maintain total wellbeing programming to encourage healthy lifestyles and work/life balance.

  • Day to day oversight of Wellness360 reboot. Work with VP Global Benefit to create annual strategy and communication campaign.

  • Engage with IRGs for potential to integrate well-being program into IRG initiatives.

  • Point of contact to answer employee questions regarding wellbeing program.

  • Implement employee communications with respect to new wellbeing programming to provide continuing education.

  • Implement wellbeing related activities. Examples include: lunch and learn seminars, blood drives, flu-shots, etc.

  • Keep abreast of current national wellness and wellbeing initiatives and activities, developing a network of resources and contacts. Explore ideas and opportunities to personalize the program to increase employee participation.

  • Gather and analyze data to measure success on wellness programs and initiatives to create our story. Conduct benchmarking analysis and environmental and culture assessments to aid in program development, as well as conduct employee focus groups. Focus in the collation of engagement data, ROI metrics, and vendor key performance indicators.

  • Establish relationships with other internal departments and external organizations. Act as a liaison in the company to gather ideas and sponsor events. Prepared to answer employee questions regarding wellness programs. Create and execute educational sessions for larger People (HR) team and local departments.

  • Special projects as assigned

What will the Wellness Coordinator do?

  • Be passionate about wellness but be willing to assist in anything Benefits (including data entry, filing, responding to inquiries, etc.).

  • Responsible for developing, planning, marketing and executing company-wide wellness initiatives and programs.

  • Oversee and primary head of Wellness360

  • Establish relationships with other internal departments and IRGs to be involved in any event that has a wellness component.

  • Represent Dow Jones externally at conferences and events

  • Act as a liaison in the company to gather ideas and sponsor events

  • Responsible for gathering and analyzing data to measure success on wellness programs and initiatives to create our wellbeing story.

  • Conduct benchmarking analysis and environmental and culture assessments to aid in program development, as well as conduct employee focus groups.

  • Make budget recommendations in regards to wellness initiatives/programs. Engage with finance partner.

Qualifications

Successful candidates should be able to:

  • Develop creative program materials, including promotional pieces.

  • Understand the stages of change in relation to behavior modification programming. Be persuasive.

  • Motivate participants to set and reach health goals.

  • Integrate wellness/fitness program initiatives into culture and organizational mission.

  • Lead special projects and initiatives.

  • Assist in the measurement and evaluation of the program components.

  • Work in fast-paced and loud environment.

  • Display a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines while juggling multiple projects/tasks.

  • Display professionalism when dealing with employees and outside vendors.

  • Accept and apply constructive feedback when it is given.

Successful candidates should have:

  • General working knowledge of corporate wellness programs on a global scale

  • Wellness and benefits administration experience preferred

  • Strong conceptual, strategic and visionary skills.

  • Critical thinking skills

  • Knowledge of ROI outcomes.

  • The ability to work with employees at all levels. Mindful of global cultural norms.

  • The ability to meet changing deadlines and be able to multitask.

  • Strong organizational and time-management and project-management skills.

  • Excellent skills in all Microsoft Office Programs including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

detail-oriented.

  • An independent thinker with excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills with the ability to motivate others.
