Job Description:

The Supervisor, GFO, Global Travel Services will provide oversight for our expense processing team to ensure that employee reports are processed in accordance with company policy and guidelines. This role will serve as direct support to our Head of Global Travel Services for a variety of tasks, up to and including corporate card administration, transactional reconciliations, and servicing ad hoc requests. This role interacts with not only our Dow Jones staff but our shared services clientele within News Corp whom we provide support to, so the highest level of customer service is expected and required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the team responsible for the execution of the end-to-end T&E processing and audit functions; assist, supervise and support any remote T&E process.

  • Monitor report exceptions within Concur in order to escalate compliance issues for management and/or HR review

  • Serve as a joint administrator for the company corporate card program, which entails reviewing aging reports, card holder reports and Concur administrative corporate card reporting

  • Process, manage and reconcile the T&E pay cycles utilizing reporting from Concur and ERP system

  • Monitor and create audit rules/exceptions within Concur platform, as required

  • Point of contact to perform analytical and ad hoc reporting as required for management.

  • Training and development of staff

  • Look for areas of process improvement to ensure efficient and effective processing of T&E transactions, utilizing Concur and any potential partner platforms

  • Provide information for monthly key performance indicators (KPI’s)

  • Following instructions & procedures: it is essential that this hire appropriately follow the policies and procedures to ensure that financial processes are carried out in-line with the obligations/service level agreements.

  • Customer relations: you must be highly focused on delivering against your stakeholder’s requirements, ensuring that the quantity and quality of your work is to a high standard at all times.

  • Assist in special projects as required.

  • Working with people: you must have the capacity to build effective relationships at all levels and proactively communicate with other employees, utilizing tact and diplomacy as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience within the T&E and AP/Finance function.

  • Experience in using Concur Expense Management System

  • Knowledgeable of the Business Travel Industry

  • Experience and competence in using integrated ERP software, with SAP experience a plus

  • Competent Microsoft Office user (Excel knowledge a must, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Prior supervisory or managerial responsibilities

  • Communicates information and ideas clearly, shares information broadly and listens carefully.

  • Quick learner and self-starter who has the ability to work independently or within a team environment.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with strong organizational skills.

  • Accustomed to working with deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Detail oriented and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
