The Senior Analyst to assist with the month-end closing of the income statement and balance sheet.
Journal entries for monthly accruals and re-classes of expense.
Work with the business and the Financial Planning and Analysis team to prepare monthly variances to budget and prior year for the current period, quarter and year to date. - Ad hoc analyses as needed.
Participation in monthly closing meetings to discuss variances and ensure that the results are complete.
Complete monthly reconciliations for select balance sheet accounts including investigation of any differences.
Liaise with other departments in order to provide insight into remaining balances.
Participation in monthly balance sheet closing review to ensure that the reconciliations are complete and accurate.
Provide cash flow support for various balance sheet accounts, as part of the monthly cash flow forecasting process.
Role also includes special projects to support management.
Skills needed would include analytical, communication, the ability to embrace change, and a strong desire to learn. - Must be able to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines - Experience with a general ledger system required. - SAP and Analytics for Office (Preferred). - Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and 3 - 4 years of relevant experience preferred. - Public Accounting background preferred. - Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
