Role:
Dow Jones Finance team is using several technology solutions to manage various finance business processes in accounts payable, procurement, accounts receivable, fixed assets, books, and records as well as budgeting & forecasting. One of the key applications used for the core ERP is SAP S/4 Hana on-premise version 1909 hosted on AWS public cloud. Along with this, Finance also uses complimentary software that includes Vertex, OpenText, Blackline, Concur, etc.
The Principal Software Engineer manages all of SAP and related Infrastructure to ensure systems are running & performing well with the Infrastructure strategy aligned to Finance and business goals. In addition to routine maintenance, the position ensures operating systems, databases, and applications are upgraded on an ongoing basis to be on the latest supported versions.
