About the Role:
Dow Jones is looking for Director, Market Data Strategy, to join our Market Data team responsible for powering market data across WSJ, Barron's Group, Investor's Business Daily, Dow Jones Newswires, and Factiva. As Director, Market Data Strategy, you will work with data, business, and technology partners across the organization to ensure inbound and outbound delivery of market data.
You will report to the Market Data Director.
You Will:
Design and implement plans to onboard content
Evaluate data requirements for engineering and content teams
Make final decisions on data content requirements
Communicate with internal partners around content decisions
Oversee important processes around data and external market intelligence
Monitor industry trends and evaluate new data sources and capabilities
Manage (oversee) a team of analysts required to implement programs and operational tasking
Shape the strategic and operational direction of the team by optimizing workflows to improve automation and internal operations and improve the quality of data
You Have:
Minimum five years of experience in the market data industry preferably focused on exchange-traded content and financial data.
Experience using technology to improve processes
Experience working on teams responsible for large projects (at least 12 months and more than $5m)
Experience with how global financial markets function
An openness to different views and opinions and an appreciation for team diversity
FISD Financial Information Associate (FIA) certification, which is not required but provides an advantage
