Role:

This is not a role for people who like to operate behind the scenes. Reporting to the Head of Middle East & Africa, this is a (fixed term contract) front line sales role that will drive digital ad revenues by generating new business prospects, growing existing accounts and converting current pipeline.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow relationships with key media agencies and clients in appointed territories and be a brand ambassador for all products and solutions in WSJ Barron’s Group including Live Journalism, Branded Content, Audio, Video and Digital.

  • Manage, support and assist an existing network of third party media representatives by joining client and agency pitches, creating proactive solutions for their markets and providing relevant marketing materials and media plans when requested.

  • “Own the Client” Build upon existing and historic accounts promoting digital first advertising and branded content solutions.

  • Consultative selling style, being a solution driven partner who consistently innovates to provide intelligence led solutions

  • Keep informed of consumer behaviours and regional news to help capitalize in a fast paced ever changing landscape.

  • Evangelize the value of WSJ Barron’s Group products and solutions, proactively keeping clients abreast of new product offerings, events and ad tech.

  • Attend industry trade shows to network with attendees and expand your business network.

  • Work closely with Integrated Marketing, Media Planning & Delivery in response to incoming RFP’s and proactive digital first solutions.

  • Own your pipeline of business, ensuring high levels prospecting, cold calling, qualifying, pitching and closing business.

  • Maintain and report weekly on pipeline of sales activity, account development plans, revenue forecasts and closing time frames.

  • Ensure all client accounts and contacts are maintained in Salesforce.

Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years client and agency sales experience is necessary with prior advertising sales experience preferred.

  • Middle East & Africa media sales experience and/or understanding is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high levels of client service and drive revenue growth while managing multiple clients in multiple time zones.

  • Ability to build and maintain effective business relationships in a virtual environment is essential.

  • Influential presenting and closing skills are essential.

  • Be a highly motivated, self starter with a passion for making sales.

  • Understand complex media sales cycles.

  • Can develop influential relationships in a global matrix organisation.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications is highly preferred.

  • Knowledge of Google & Salesforce productivity applications.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills are required.

  • Willingness to travel (only when deemed safe to do so).
