About the Role:
The Content Strategy function in Factiva is newly created to sustain our content expertise as a clear competitive advantage. It allows dedicated business focus on designing and building Factiva's content strategy to achieve the ambition of an outstanding content set class that helps our customers make accurate and informed decisions.
You will look both externally by communicating Factiva's content story and internally by guiding and facilitating teams to allow Factiva to fulfill our mission of being the leading news and business search engine for decision-makers of today… and tomorrow.
As the VP of Content Strategy for Factiva, you will report to the General Manager of Factiva and oversee the content strategy to support Factiva's team goals. This includes working with Factiva's Business Management, Product Strategy, and Business Operations teams and Finance, Content Licensing, and Legal to deliver a world-class and premium content offering. The content offering will include (business and finance) news, research, and company data in traditional paper and online formats, and audio, video, images, graphics, and other rich media that professionals have come to expect based on their experience as a consumer.
Create annual plans derived from our content strategy and a long-range roadmap to ensure Factiva's content set exceeds the needs of our customer communities - in collaboration with the Head of Business Management
Ensure those content-related customer requirements, such as taxonomy, content discovery, and in-product presentation, are essential parts of the product roadmap - in collaboration with the Head of Product Strategy.
Guide functional experts to improve the efficiency of our back-end processes, from content requests and acquisition to content onboarding - in collaboration with the Head of Business Operations
Work with team members in other Dow Jones departments to ensure that all Dow Jones proprietary content is showcased in Factiva and other B2B products.
Share competitive insights gained from content providers and direct competitors, lead customer feedback activities such as the annual Factiva Content Survey and incoming VOC, and monitor follow-up.
Help client-facing teams to speak on our content story and work with the Head of Business Management and Marketing on a content communication strategy, associated collateral, and opportunities to demonstrate our expertise.
Provide leadership to the Royalties Committee and work with the Partnership team to update our commercial models for rewarding our content providers and build true partnerships with influential publishers
Ensure we demonstrate the customer value of our evolving content set by dashboards and metrics reports
Contribute to business case delivery for significant content investments
10+ years of experience with a global news and information B2B Company
Experience with the international media industry and trends in Big Tech
Working knowledge of content acquisition and delivery
Guidance, presenting, and teamwork skills
Bachelor's Degree preferred

NYC Pay Range: $140,000 - $450,000
