Job Description:

We are looking for a collaborative and hands-on leader to guide essential change efforts and operationalize important People Team and growth programs.

As the Vice President, People Strategy, you will report to and directly support the Chief People Officer serving in a ‘chief of staff’ capacity and collaborate closely with the global People Leadership team.

In this newly created position, you'll effectuate change and play an important strategic and tactical role in our people and culture transformation.

  • Lead critical change efforts building alignment with Dow Jones growth initiatives and people and culture goals, as well as, operationalizing, planning, and executing critical programs.

  • Collaborate across the People Team to impact productivity, streamlining initiatives, and communicating objectives between teams.

  • Support the implementation of a newly developed HR operating model ensuring we track priorities, goals and metrics appropriately, have strong decision-making mechanisms in place and drive accountability across the team around meeting our commitments.

  • Serve as an outstanding meeting facilitator, creating the right pace and structure to meetings and ensuring that clear and concise action plans are developed which will positively impact the business.

  • Partner effectively and proactively with the employee communications team to deliver organizational messages about our People programs across the company.

You Will:

  • Be a hands-on leader directly supporting the Chief People Officer.

  • Partner with the People Leadership team to oversee essential projects and culture programs that requires cross-company collaboration.

  • Advise on the design, resourcing, workflows to support new HR operating model and programs.

  • Enhance productivity and communicate goals across the global People Team.

  • Oversee all People metrics; align efforts on goals and metrics, partnering with HR Operations, Talent and Diversity & Inclusion Teams, and help implement a newly developed HR operating model.

  • Be an outstanding meeting facilitator; distill and summarize strategic discussions into discernible, manageable plans.

  • Collaborate with the employee communications team to provide branded messages about our People programs across the company.

  • Partner with Finance on budget planning and manage essential vendor relationships.

  • Be a trusted partner and provide impartial analysis of team performance.

  • Provide consulting and coaching assistance at all levels.

You Have:

  • BA/BS in Business or Human Resource Management; MBA or Masters preferred.

  • 10+ years experience managing operations or program management across HR teams.

  • Experience in a business management role, with an added focus on executive-level support and interdepartmental collaboration.

  • Experience with data and workforce analytics; Workday experience preferred.

  • Strong interest and deep experience in driving change.

  • Build and garner trust with others.

  • Individual contributor delivering results through a matrix-model.

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Handle ambiguity, use discretion and manage confidentiality.

  • Flexible and resilient.
