Dow Jones Sr. Director, Program Management in NEW YORK, New York

Job Description:

Dow Jones Experience team is looking for an energetic, digitally savvy Sr. Director Program Management that is responsible for managing the priority and delivery of projects within the Experience group. As an experienced, hands on Program Manager, your job is to plan, forecast, oversee and document all aspects of complex, high risk projects and oversee delivery of all projects. You will lead the overall program with strong attention to strategy, implementation and delegation. Program Managers work with Project Managers, senior executives, stakeholders and partners to ensure the scope and direction of each project is on schedule and business benefits are aligned with larger organizational goals.

Reporting to the SVP Strategy & Emerging Growth Platforms, this role will assist in the development of organizational processes, and products that support a growing subscriber ecosystem. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are a must, as is a familiarity with digital media, membership, customer experience, digital advertising products and online marketing.

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Development of detailed project plans to monitor and track progress

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of projects

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Engage on competitive research and coordination with customer intelligence team for Dow Jones research needs

  • Execute operational product tasks

  • Coordinate and manage day-to-day operations and communications w/partners and internal departments to ensure smooth projects

  • Lead the planning and implementation projects

  • Facilitate the definition of project scope and deliverables

  • Develop detailed schedules, work plans and resource maps

  • Provide clear but thorough verbal and written communications to stakeholders

  • Proactively identify, manage and resolve issues and risks

  • Liaison with internal cross-functional teams – Finance, Product, Design,Technology, Infrastructure , Legal, Information Security, etc

  • Manage multiple projects at the same time

  • Ensure project stakeholders and management are kept appropriately informed of project status and that there is sufficient record of meetings and decision-making

Requirements:

  • 10 years of project management and/or client services/account management experience

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Effective team player with exceptional organizational and communication skills

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including the ability to present quantitative and qualitative information clearly and insightfully (e.g. dashboards and analysis)

  • Ideal candidate is a self-starter, confident, energetic, positive, focused, dependable, adaptable, proactive, resourceful and possesses a “can do” attitude

  • Ability to work well under timeframe pressure, handling multiple tasks/initiatives at the same time and posting colleagues on progress regularly
