Job Description:Barron’s is looking for an experienced writer to cover a core beat for its newsroom: Asset Management.
We are seeking someone who can write smart, penetrating stories about brokerages and asset managers, especially those who have emerged as powerful voices within global finance. This person should be able to produce ahead-of-the-curve analysis and offer practical investment advice to readers based on a deep understanding of market trends. Candidates also should be able to write enterprise and accountability stories about major investing strategies such as ESG and sustainable investing. And they should be able to move quickly when big news ripples across the industry, while explaining how these events might impact investors.
Strong writing skills are a must. Barron’s highly values collaboration, so a team-oriented approach is required. The successful applicant also should be able to draw on a wide range of sources among academics, economists, money managers, financial advisors, and other experts to develop scoops, break news, and bring out-of-the box thinking to these important issues.
Interested parties should send a resume, a cover letter that lays out their vision for the job and no more than three stories to the application link provided. They can also email these materials to David.Cho@barrons.com or Bob.Rose@barrons.com.
