About the Role
As Senior Manager, Subscription Strategy – WSJ & WSJ+, you will focus on the financial performance of our subscription business, spanning WSJ Digital & Print, the WSJ App, and WSJ+. You will be the first line of insight and vetting for revenue-driving proposals, ensuring leadership has a clear, timely view of opportunities, risks, and outcomes. Partnering closely with Finance, Data Science, and cross-functional teams, you will play a critical role in optimizing strategies that drive subscriber volume and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Own weekly reporting and analysis across WSJ Digital, WSJ Print, WSJ App, and WSJ+, surfacing trends, risks, and opportunities.
Brief senior leaders in advance of Performance Weeklies and ELT updates with clear business context.
Partner with Finance and Data Science to answer strategic questions, address reporting gaps, and quantify business impacts.
Serve as the go-to partner for cross-functional teams looking to vet proposals with potential revenue and volume implications.
Build business cases and financial models to inform subscription and bundle strategies.
About You
10+ years of experience in strategy, finance, or subscription marketing.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to translate data into insights and recommendations.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with proven success briefing senior executives.
Ability to manage competing priorities, synthesize complexity, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Comfort working cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, and Product teams.
