About the Role
We are looking for a Sr. Manager Pricing Analytics who can work across all levels of the organization to perform value-based pricing analysis, lead cross-functional pricing projects, and make recommendations to management regarding pricing levels, discounts, and price realization opportunities for a broad set of existing and new products, primarily in support of the B2B services. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring excellence in pricing execution, including the development and enforcement of discounting policies and effective implementation of commercial strategies in the CRM and other internal systems.
You will be based in our NYC office reporting to the SVP Finance, and will be part of a team responsible for shaping and implementing B2B Pricing Strategy for Dow Jones. You will collaborate closely with product management, sales, marketing, legal and finance to drive profitable growth and enhance Dow Jones' competitive position. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong analytical background, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of value-based pricing principles.
You Will:
Be a Key contributor in defining and developing value-based pricing strategies and commercial policies based on customer and product segmentations
Improve on existing data sets and dashboards which are used as measurements of price realization
Analyze sales, customer, product usage, and financial data to identify areas of price opportunity and track contract pricing performance and compliance
Work in a cross functional environment with Product, Sales, Partners, Finance, Operations to collect and analyze data and agree on business case assumptions
Develop and execute comprehensive pricing strategies and optimization tactics to improve profitability across the customer portfolio
Provide clear guidance, support and change management in the execution of the pricing process
Develop pricing strategies for new products and commercialization of new product features
Support continuous improvement of pricing operations and processes including lookbacks to assess effectiveness of adoptions
You Have:
10+ years of experience working with pricing structures and discount matrices
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing and bundling strategies in a SaaS or financial services environment
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable pricing strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong project management capabilities with experience working with sales teams and contract operations
Strong financial modeling skills with a high level of proficiency in excel (can perform complex functions)
Experience working with Salesforce preferred
