The FP&A group is currently seeking a Senior Manager Financial Planning & Analysis – Print Group to support our business partners in the Print Operations team. The Print Operations team is integral to the printing, production and delivery of over 1m WSJ copies daily across the continental US. The successful candidate will help develop, communicate and monitor departmental and product budgets and forecasts. The candidate will also aid business partners in assessing the financial impact of their recommendations and strategy by regularly developing, analyzing and presenting business case models.
Ensure that accurate and timely monthly financial and quarterly results are provided
Maintain a thorough understanding of the relevant cost drivers and trends, and explain/report these to senior management
Ensure that accurate and timely monthly forecasts are provided
Take ownership for project work from end to end (collection of data, creation of model/analysis of trends, identification of key issues, and turn this into a management level presentation) - to drive strategic decisions within the business
Oversee an analyst
Develop detailed financial models and analyses
Report on the financial implications of business/strategic decisions and identify potential systems and data improvements.
Ensure that business support is given to Print Operations Department Managers and strong business relationships are maintained.
Skills & Experience
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
Demonstrated ability in managing multiple Senior Stakeholders within a medium to large organization
Planning and organizational skills including effective time management
Advanced excel and analytical skills a must
Experience managing and developing staff
CPA, MBA or Bachelors degree in accounting preferred
SAP system experience preferred
7+ years of relevant Commercial Finance experience
