The Research Manager oversees an expanding array of thought-leadership and data projects connected to the Barron’s industry-leading financial advisor rankings. Primary responsibilities include:
Conceiving and executing custom research on subjects of value to financial advisors and asset managers alike. The research, which is separate and distinct from Barron’s financial advisor rankings, is based on surveys of financial advisors. The Research Manager manages all aspects of the projects, from creating and executing a survey, to gathering and interpreting responses and turning them into formal reports.
Overseeing the operations of the database that houses the financial advisor information generated by Barron’s surveys, rankings and events. This proprietary database feeds a wide range of current and future business initiatives, including: (1) Eight major financial advisor rankings per year (and counting) (2) An advisor benchmarking tool, to be featured on the Barron’s Advisor Web site (3) Advisor Directory and Advisor Finder products, which help financial advisors promote their rankings and connect with end users of their services (4) Barron’s industry-leading advisor conferences and related events
The Research Manager will have a direct report—a Research Associate—to handle day-to-day tasks related to the operations of the database.
