Dow Jones Program Coordinator in NEW YORK, New York

Job Description:

The Wall Street Journal Live Journalism team is a high-performing and ambitious team of professionals who are passionate about delivering results in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Programming team and the Wall Street Journal newsroom to provide administrative support across all of our in-person and virtual events. In addition to this, the role will be central to the team in maintaining processes and documents to ensure clear communication across multiple teams. A successful candidate should be interested in starting a career in event programming and be passionate about content development.


  • Provide administrative support across the programming team to help ensure the newsroom content is accurately captured across marketing assets and on the website

  • Help collect and organize speaker bios, photos, contacts, travel plans, etc.

  • Maintain the speaker contact database

  • Schedule pre-event calls with speakers and editors

  • Help onsite at events (in-person and virtual) and generate event-specific reports

  • Ensure speakers and speaker staff are properly registered for events

  • Maintain team calendar


  • A minimum of one year of corporate experience in conference programming or project management role

  • Passionate about content development

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with different teams across the organization

  • A strong communicator, both written and verbal

  • Ability to respond to deadlines with urgency and manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time

  • Attention to detail and willingness to take initiative

  • Degree level education
