What you'll do:
As a People Insight Partner you will support how we determine actionable insight from data. The People Insight Partner will implement ways to understand our story through data, develop and support how we implement strategies that improve our ability to improve our effectiveness.
You will report to the VP, People Insight, and collaborate with members of the People team and other departments to help refine how we attract, develop and deploy talent. Additionally, you will be an analytics consultant on a broad spectrum of talent topics.
Partner with multiple People teams (e.g., development and learning, diversity, workforce planning, talent management, compensation, benefits) on projects to analyze and answer important people questions
Apply your expertise in data analysis, visualization, and interpretation throughout the talent lifecycle
Partner with systems and data engineers to extract and manipulate people data from multiple sources, and conduct ad hoc data analysis and visualizations to help our stakeholders make informed decisions
Lead data analysts and/or data scientists to conduct relevant analysis (descriptive and predictive), and present results and effects to stakeholders
Compile Dow Jones specific data and external research to help leaders gain perspective and insights
Understand people processes and data privacy and security policies, and demonstrate judgment and discretion when working with sensitive people data and business issues
Lead and manage analytics projects end-to-end from problem scoping to delivery, including change management; guide and coach junior analysts
Conduct data analysis and create visualization concepts and methodologies, using tools like Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik, Excel, Google Sheets, Google Data Studio
Manage the complexities of HR data and systems and consult with the people team on processes that inform decisions affecting business performance and outcomes
Bachelor’s degree in analytics, business, or social sciences (e.g., Data Science, Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Economics, IO Psychology, Sociology, HR)
5+ years of experience working in People Analytics and communicating complex data analyses across various audiences and levels
Deep understanding of the HR function and people processes such as learning and development, performance management, diversity, compensation, employee engagement and retention, etc.
Strong data analysis, visualization, and interpretation skills along with good knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP), survey tools (e.g., Glint, CultureAmp, Qualtrics), and data processes
Excellent knowledge of HR metrics (e.g. attrition, recruiting, performance development, diversity)
Expert Google Suite and MS Excel skills
