About the Role

We have created a brand-new hybrid Paid Media Associate, Mobile App Marketing. You will support the Paid Media and Acquisition teams to grow our subscription business through our mobile apps in the US and internationally by building performance-driven campaigns on Google, YouTube, Meta, and app DSPs (e.g. LiftOff). You will report to the Senior Manager, Paid Media for The Wall Street Journal and work in our NYC office three days every week.

You Will

  • Execute, manage, and optimize app media campaigns and programs for the Wall Street Journal and MarketWatch.

  • Monitor app campaign and media channel performance, ensuring goals are met.

  • Demonstrate diligence regarding adherence to budgets.

  • Handle daily app campaign maintenance, including internal questions regarding their tracking and status.

  • Run the app campaign QA process to ensure accurate implementation, pacing, and performance while balancing multiple data sources (UI, MMP, internal database).

  • Regularly report on app campaign performance to cross-functional teams.

  • Develop creative concepts and marketing collateral for global campaigns, working alongside brand and design teams.

  • Collaborate closely with internal media, creative, brand and operations teams to ensure campaigns are executed on time, meeting their deadlines.

  • Maintain and organize campaign-specific materials.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscapes and new technologies impacting digital marketing

  • Identify areas of opportunity.

You Have

REQUIRED

  • The willingness to work in our midtown Manhattan office three days each week.

  • 0 - 2 years of digital marketing experience, ideally including the creation of performance-driven campaigns on Google, YouTube, Meta, and/or app DSPs.

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing, meeting deadlines, and working independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience working cross-functionally.

PREFERRED

  • Mobile app marketing experience across paid media properties.

  • A fundamental understanding of media channels and experience in their corresponding ad managers.

  • An understanding of:

  • key app media KPIs

  • app campaign analysis

  • app campaign reporting

  • how to ensure paid media campaigns adhere to budgets.

  • A passion for journalism, publishing, and financial news.

Pay Range: $40,000 - $160,000
