Dow Jones Membership Sales Executive, CEO Council in NEW YORK, New York

Job Description:

The CEO Council Membership Sales Executive will join a highly skilled team responsible for securing new members to The Wall Street Journal CEO Council. In doing so, the successful candidate will liaise with some of the most notable CEOs/Chairs in the world, along with their communication teams, to convey the many benefits of joining the council.

In this role, you will be assigned a territory consisting of U.S. and international companies all renowned in their field / industry. The successful candidate will discover, build and maintain strong relationships with the CEO, their office and/or the key decision makers around them. He / she will work closely with corporate communication executives as well as internal and external PR executives to convey the value the CEO Council has not just for their CEO/Chair but the wider organization.

With the goal to have high-quality, face-to-face virtual (or in-person) meetings with the prospects, you will be expected to build a pipeline through successful outbound calls and email communications. This work will involve smart and appropriate prospecting to increase our memberships as well as the ability to liaise directly at the CEO level.

You will also be responsible for providing feedback regularly and participating in special projects where needed. This includes gathering intelligence about their market and suggesting value proposition improvements, communicating actions and sharing best practices with the team. This role involves collaborating with Dow Jones teams to grow memberships overall.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A proven track record of overdelivering on targets. Experience selling to c-suite executives.

  • College degree (or equivalent), preferably in marketing, communications or a business discipline.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proven presentation skills. Includes ability to speak effectively with all levels of management.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Understands how to work with different people and different working styles across the organization and inside member companies.

  • Positive, energetic and dynamic self-starter.

  • Ability to convey a sense of urgency.

  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Resourceful style; willingness to take initiative, manage multiple tasks and projects at a time.

  • Sets a strong example for others by working collaboratively, and in a congenial, professional manner.

NYC Pay Range: $50,000 - $180,000
