Job Description:
The Wall Street Journal brings its unique business lens to these invitation-only Executive Networks of influential leaders, unlocking the knowledge, strategies and perspectives needed to make their biggest decisions. Members benefit from a calendar of events, including summits, breakouts and in-person editorial dinners and roundtable discussion as well as timely insights and opportunities to be a leading voice providing their perspectives in a Journal print edition or co-chair appointments at exchanges.
Position Statement:
The Member Relationship Manager will join a highly skilled team responsible for retaining members of The WSJ Executive Networks consisting of the CFO Network, CIO Network and CMO Network. The successful candidate will develop relationships with some of the most notable C-Suite Executives in the world and their offices from onboarding through ongoing engagement to ensure members utilize full benefits of membership delivered through exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Renewing current memberships aiming for maximum retention through consistent engagement throughout the year.
Onboard members by working closely with their office to ensure they are set up to harness the full value of the membership including procure their bio and headshot, register for upcoming events, and assist in accessing their WSJ.com subscriptions.
Ensure members come to an event a minimum of once per quarter, confirm attendance for registered events.
Work alongside the Network Director to help deliver a personalized membership experience.
Act as the concierge for the membership, providing stellar service to our member’s offices.
Provide regular feedback and reporting on the renewal forecast and outlook, highlighting and trouble spots in a timely fashion.
Ensure accuracy of active member list for quarterly roll call ads in the print edition of The Wall Street Journal.
As an advocate for these Executive Networks, build strong internal networks with commercial, marketing and editorial colleagues.
Liaised with internal departments to provide solutions for unique customer challenges and optimal customer service.
Skills/Requirements:
A proven track record of hitting and/or overdelivering on targets. Experience selling to c-suite executives, a plus.
Demonstrable experience of building and maintaining excellent client relationships
Minimum of 2 years professional sales, account management, or customer service experience
College degree (or equivalent), preferably in marketing, communications or a business discipline.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proven presentation skills
Excellent organizational skills, enabling strong customer management and prompt follow-up.
Positive, energetic and dynamic self-starter.
Salesforce.com or other CRM experience preferred.
