ABOUT THE ROLE
The Wall Street Journal Leadership Institute is designed to help business leaders master a world of accelerating change. To succeed, they need not only good information — which the Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones have traditionally provided them — but also a means for continuously honing their abilities to manage their people through a daunting array of challenges — whether from disruptive new technologies, an evolving geopolitical landscape, a changing energy paradigm, rising stakeholder demands, or shifting workplace norms. The Leadership Institute consists of executive peer communities, a variety of content and experiences for members, and unique access to data only available within Dow Jones.
We are looking for a highly organized Membership Associate to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the epicenter of the workstreams related to all executive memberships, playing a crucial role in streamlining membership operations, updating member information systems, and project managing for internal stakeholders.
You Will:
Membership Administration:
Member onboarding and registration: Process new member applications, ensure accurate data entry into membership systems, and coordinate welcome materials.
Maintain membership records: Regularly update and maintain accurate member information, including contact details, membership status, renewals, and special requests.
Membership renewals and cancellations: Handle cancellations and assist in the reactivation of expired memberships when necessary.
Operations Support:
Information Systems Management:
Maintain membership database: Ensure membership records are accurately entered and up-to-date in the organization's membership database or CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
Data entry and updates: Perform regular data clean-ups and updates to ensure the integrity of membership data and prevent errors in member communication.
Troubleshoot membership system issues: Work with the IT or support team to resolve any issues related to the membership platform, ensuring smooth operations for staff and members alike.
You Have:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
0-2 years of experience in membership coordination, customer service, or administrative support, preferably in a membership-driven organization.
Experience in membership management systems (e.g., CRM systems, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Attention to detail with an emphasis on maintaining accurate records and ensuring data integrity.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with members, staff, and other stakeholders.
Basic financial understanding for handling membership transactions, renewals, and billing-related tasks.
Problem-solving skills: Ability to think critically and resolve issues independently or escalate when necessary.
Tech-savvy: Comfort with software tools, data entry, and troubleshooting membership-related systems.
Team player: Willingness to collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure smooth membership processes.
