Dow Jones Media Reporter in NEW YORK, New York

Job Description

MarketWatch seeks a media industry reporter to cover the vicious competition for eyeballs in an era of shriveling attention spans and infinite choice.

This reporter will seek stories at the intersection of media and money, chronicling the changing landscape as legacy film, TV, and print companies face off against tech giants.

The right candidate possesses a passion for digging into the financials, parsing the investment plans that are making Netflix so formidable, while at the same time exploring the technological, cultural and social changes that are shaking up all media and entertainment.

This reporter should have at least five years of experience, ideally with a background covering business and financial news.

The position is based in New York.
