Job Description:
Accelerating the growth of our subscriber base is a priority at The Wall Street Journal. Subscriber engagement and retention plays a big role in achieving continued growth in the years to come and our loyalty program WSJ+ is a key tool to help us reach our goals.
The Loyalty team is seeking a Performance Manager to track, measure and optimize the performance of marketing campaigns targeting members and prospect members of WSJ+. We’re looking for a data-first candidate, who can be 1) hands on, building reports and dashboards independently, and 2) strategic, offering insights and recommendations based on their analysis.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain user-friendly dashboards that enable marketers to visualize data and regularly track and report on campaign performance
Derive insights and develop and communicate clear recommendations to optimize campaign performance
Act as a performance consultant, offering guidance and best practices to improve our testing methodologies, data presentation and campaign results
Exercise a thorough knowledge of the brand and an ability to balance team goals with overall company objectives
Develop a comprehensive understanding of key audience segments to identify opportunities for growth in reach and impact of the loyalty program
Partner with data analysts across the business to identify and develop new insights that will enhance understanding of our campaigns and our audience
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in information systems, marketing and/or operations. Relevant coursework or professional experience in business intelligence will also be considered.
2-3 years of experience working in a marketing insights or data-related role is preferred
Experience in common analytics tools (SQL, Tableau, Adobe/Google Analytics)
A mindset that is curious, data literate and digital first
The ability to work quickly and manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Motivation to take ownership of projects and superior leadership skills to achieve results
First-rate communications, presentation and writing skills
A passion for and understanding of Dow Jones brands, customers and products
