Dow Jones Marketing Manager Activations in NEW YORK, New York

Job Description:

Dow Jones is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead the marketing efforts to position The Wall Street Journal as the foremost membership for ambitious students.

The Marketing Manager will create and oversee our student activation growth, manage global multi channel marketing campaigns and own key internal partnerships to drive activation in the student membership team.

The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years experience working in marketing, delivering successful global campaigns and manage multiple stakeholders to drive results, ideally in emerging technologies to younger audiences.


  • To manage global student marketing campaigns to drive awareness amongst students and drive adoption of the WSJ on college campuses

  • To monitor, optimize and constantly improve the effectiveness of all marketing campaigns

  • To own internal relationships across technology, sales, and insight to improve and evolve the student customer experience

  • To analyze market trends and competitors to create ideas which shape the student strategy

  • Own the direct response activation experience for students and work with the Marketing Director to implement this and use results / data to shape the strategy to drive volume.


  • A minimum of three years experience working in marketing, with a focus on briefing, executing and monitoring marketing campaigns

  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across the business

  • Passionate, Engaged, Organized with exceptional maturity

  • Understand data and able to articulate with data

  • Enjoy working with numbers

  • Project management skills

  • An interest in media, particularly in emerging technologies and trends in the marketing and media industry

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Confident presenter

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills

  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage workload effectively in a fast paced environment
