Dow Jones Manager, Sales Development in NEW YORK, New York

Job Description: Dow Jones is seeking a passionate, ambitious sales leader who is motivated by coaching, analytics and fostering a strong sales culture to drive results within our Professional Information Business. This person must be experienced with running a high-performing inside sales team specializing in identifying new prospects and securing sales appointments through consultative sales. You must bring a track record of successfully exceeding annual quotas combined with a strong ability to build effective, results-yielding relationships. The ideal candidate will own all of the day-to-day responsibilities of building and leading a high-performing team of Sales Development Representatives. The expectation is to build and manage a world class team that includes strategy, training, coaching and delivering on KPIs, as well as documenting and reporting on analytics derived from this team. Role: Sales Development Manager Location: New York, NY (midtown) Reports to: VP of Sales, Head of Middle Markets Description: Lead a team of Sales Development Representatives in order to grow the Dow Jones Professional Information Business throughout North America. Responsibilities: Recruit, coach, and mentor Sales Development Representatives responsible for lead generation, identification of new sales opportunities and securing meetings via, but not limited to, phone, email, networking and social media. Document and maintain results Perform analysis of outreach in order to understand success rates that will steer team to optimize outreach results Work across sales leadership to build and execute on strategic growth plan Work extremely close with our Vice President of Sales to fuel collaboration around key insights and strategic decisions Ensure the creation, implementation, and maintenance of standard methodologies Develop scalable sales systems and processes that drive predictive revenue growth Develop specific and targeted sales goals, and implement tactics to accelerate growth Manage, and optimize KPIs Proactively support your sales team in achieving sales initiatives through efficiency and productivity improvements Continuously evaluate and optimize results. Make KPI and data-driven recommendations to senior executives Experience/Qualifications 3+ years experience in sales leadership and/or sales development leadership. Startup and SMB SaaS experience a plus! High proficiency with Salesforce and other sales enablement tools Proven track record of success utilizing data-driven results - you should know your results and be able to explain what is working and what is not working, as well as to be able to identify market opportunities for the Dow Jones Professional Information Business.
