Wall Street Journal Barron's Group, the world’s premier publisher of online business and financial news including The Wall Street Journal Online, Barron’s Online and MarketWatch, has an exciting career opportunity available as a Manager within the Revenue Operations team. As a Manager, you will play a critical role in maximizing 1st party audiences across WSJ Barron’s Group properties as well as maintaining and optimizing the Data Management Platform (DMP). This role will collaborate with several cross functional teams across Dow Jones to support and continue to improve upon our 1st party audiences, data initiatives and offerings.
Be the resident expert on the DMP and audience data sources, reporting and analytics
Build a strong relationship with the DMP and actively engage in product roadmap feedback to ensure our product and data goals are achievable and delivered on time within the system
Partner and collaborate with the AdTech and DataSET teams to maximize and optimize our 1st party data
Proactively design segments based on 1st party data and ad-hoc requests from Sales/Planning to respond to RFPs
Work in cross functional teams including Sales, Planning, Ad Operations, The Trust and AdTech to continuously experiment, iterate, and deliver on existing and new data objectives.
Develop and distribute regular reporting that provide overall audience data insights and audience segments performance
Collaborate closely with the Manager, Revenue Operations to define audience product structure and updating segments, as needed, within the Order Management System (OMS)
Monitor audience segments performance, size and impression volumes on an on-going basis
Maintain and update all audience data documentation
Work directly with the DMP Support team to investigate systems issues, errors and bugs until they are resolved
Identify opportunities and implement solutions that help to provide efficiency within the Revenue Operations team, including the development of tools, processes, systems and reports
Work closely with the Product Marketing team on internal and external marketing materials regarding our audience strategy and offerings
Create and maintain processes and best practices for 1st party data and segmentation
4+ years of experience working in digital media analytics/operations role
Solid understanding of digital systems including, or similar to: Google Ad Manager (Formerly DFP), Operative.One, Yield Analytics (formerly Yieldex), Adobe Analytics, Moat, Tableau, SalesForce, Salesforce Data Studio, Permutive, Data Warehouse
Experience working with a DMP (Permutive preferred)
Strong Excel modeling experience required
Understanding of Programmatic a plus
Strong capacity to work with internal partners to improve processes and develop best practices.
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently within a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical, strategic and creative problem solving skills
Must be detail oriented and highly motivated
BA/BS College degree required.
