Job Description:
The Dow Jones Marketing Analytics team is looking for a data expert to guide the development and expansion of its subscription strategy for mobile apps. This product portfolio includes The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, and Barron’s. The ideal candidate will have a mix of analytics skills and experience with go-to-market strategy. They will have worked in customer-centric organizations and understand how to use data to drive business decisions and real outcomes.

In this role, you will:
-Be a key strategic partner to the Performance Marketing team; have a strategic and data-driven outlook, with the ability to provide clear recommendations for business growth.
Conduct in-depth analysis of Dow Jones’ app portfolio and strategy, with projects focused on user flow, customer segmentation, retention cohorts, and product improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create short-term and long-term plans for go-to-market strategy, using data to inform target audiences, tactics, and brand positioning in the app.
-Serve as strategic advisor to the Subscriptions Product team on app testing; implement best practices for A/B testing and experimentation.
-Use competitor benchmarks, internal research, and industry best practices to inform strategy.
-Work with the Performance Marketing team to ensure proper measurement of media efforts.
-Identify and advocate for the right Martech tools to enable best-in-class analysis and measurement in Dow Jones’ apps.
Qualifications:
6-7 years experience of driving strategy in data-roles at leading B2C or subscription companies
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities; experience in e-commerce industry is preferred
Entrepreneurial, curious, able to easily distill complex problems
Exceptional communication, ability to work cross-functionally, strong writing skills
-Experience processing and manipulating data with programming languages, such as SQL, Python, and R
-Past experience with analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Appsflyer, Optimizely, Tableau, Looker, and BigQuery
-Experience with mobile apps a plus
