Dow Jones General Manager, Luxury Products in NEW YORK, New York

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and innovative General Manager to help define and lead the growth strategy for Dow Jones’ luxury consumer brands (WSJ. Magazine, Mansion Global and Penta). The right candidate is highly entrepreneurial and has a background in media product development and franchise management/expansion. They must have a strong understanding of luxury consumer tastes and needs, a passion for media, and an appetite for leading change.

In this role, the GM will work closely with the editorial, advertising, membership, and product teams to scale the luxury franchises across print, digital, and experiential platforms.

Responsibilities include:

  • P&L ownership

  • Internal commercial expert on luxury industry

  • Develop and execute a holistic growth strategy to drive revenue to the luxury franchises

  • Develop digital ad products, experiences, and new franchises

  • Collaborate with key senior stakeholders across Dow Jones

  • Important external face of the WSJ. and Mansion Global franchises: Partner with WSJ. and Mansion Global EIC for client entertaining and industry events

Skills include:

  • Financial acumen and discipline

  • Deep understanding of the luxury consumer and changing tastes and needs

  • Strong relationship and consensus building skills

  • Strong communication skills, and the ability to effectively present to senior leadership

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Passionate problem solver with strong creative and analytical capabilities

  • Experience in the luxury or luxury media sector

Education And Experience

  • 15+ years of relevant business leadership experience

  • Master's degree preferred
