The Account Management Team is the center of excellence for post-sale custom programs within The Trust content studio. The Trust produces custom campaigns with intelligence and integrity for Wall Street Journal | Barron’s Group. The Account Management team is dedicated to white-glove client service on custom content above and beyond standard media buys.
The Head of Account Management will report directly to the General Manager of The Trust.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is articulate, highly organized, customer service focused, a great communicator, problem-solver and a highly effective manager of people and programs. The Account Management Team is responsible for all elements of a client's content program and partner with other teams within The Trust to make campaigns achieve superior results. Experience managing a team of account/project managers and interacting with heads of other functions within the content studio is vital to this role, as is an understanding of digital media, advertising and promotional products, ad performance and optimization, social media, and digital technologies.
Manage and lead a team of Account Directors, Account Managers and Account Coordinators
Collaborate with Client Partners to set strategic direction, drive renewal and revenue growth for each account.
Set expectations, develop best practices, processes and standards to which the Account Management team is held accountable
Establish best practices for first-to-market executions and/or program learnings
Lead, mentor and support the team to provide vision, purpose, direction and motivation
Assign resources/projects and mobilize team to execute
Strategically guide both the client and the custom team to ensure successful relationships
Troubleshoot, solve problems, and escalate issues to leadership as needed
Act as senior-level client contact, when necessary, ultimately responsible for the performance and success of the account
Oversee client budgets and ensure SOW/IO documentation is signed in advance of spending on the program and filed appropriately
As team leader, understand status across all programs both ongoing and in pre-sale
Bring together all departments/channels and respective staff for smooth operations of the account
Performance/Insights: Partner to provide analysis of media performance and content effectiveness and/or ROI
Partner with other teams to develop new methods of on-site and off-site content distribution and amplification
