Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director Program Manager to join our Marketing Transformation and Business Management Team at Dow Jones. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving the strategic initiatives and programs that enable the transformation of our marketing function while ensuring effective business management practices. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, exceptional project management skills, and a deep understanding of marketing processes and technologies.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex marketing transformation projects and initiatives.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Technology, and Operations, to define project objectives, scope, timelines, and success criteria.
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including tasks, milestones, resources, and budget, to ensure successful project outcomes.
Provide strategic guidance and direction to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the progress and impact of marketing transformation efforts.
Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate as needed to ensure projects stay on track.
Champion the adoption of best practices, methodologies, and tools for effective project management within the Marketing Transformation and Business Management Team.
Contribute to the development and execution of the overall marketing transformation strategy, aligning with the company's vision and goals.
Prepare and deliver regular project status updates and executive-level communications to stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing lessons learned.
Qualifications:
12+ years of experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master's degree or equivalent preferred.
Experience leading and managing teams required.
Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex marketing transformation programs, ideally within a media, publishing, or technology-driven organization.
Strong understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and technologies, including digital marketing, content management, data analytics, and customer segmentation.
Exceptional project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate across all levels of the organization.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of translating business objectives into actionable project plans.
Experience with change management and driving organizational adoption of new processes and technologies.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
PMP, PgMP, or similar certification is a plus.
