The Director of Performance is a key role within Dow Jones’s WSJ|Barron’s Group responsible for managing the Digital Campaign Performance team, and ensuring custom content campaign goals are met while maintaining a healthy revenue margin.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Leads and manages the WSJ |Barron’s Group Digital Campaign Performance team in audience acquisition and development, Custom Content performance reporting, campaign delivery, and campaign optimizations
Oversees branded content campaign amplification strategies
Directly manage and develop strong relationships with agencies and clients for highly visible programs.
Partner with Custom Studios on all custom executions to ensure advertiser KPIs are being tracked and met.
Responsible for generating and enhancing audience insights across campaigns
SME for ad performance insights
Works closely with Custom Studios to help shape custom content programs based on data-driven insights from previous campaigns
Partners closely with sales, planning, ad ops, integrated marketing & account management, dev, and revenue operations in order to ensure success across advertising campaigns
To define the standards and QA of the reports delivered to stakeholders.
Deliver effective reporting and data insights to stakeholders, which will rationalize existing reporting suites, within Dow Jones.
Preferred Tools/Skills:
5 years minimum of online advertising and analytical experience
Strong understanding of audience acquisition strategies
Strong understanding of ad analytics systems (i.e. MOAT, IAS, Google Analytics, and Omniture)
Strong understanding of ad-serving technologies (DFP/DFA)
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and communication skills
Leader, with transformation, team building and team management experience.
Strong stakeholder management skills
Project management experience, with a focus on process and detail
Strong written and oral communications needed
Experience of managing data, in particular delivering solutions based off of insights gained from data.
Knowledge/Experience: Ideally have worked within a large publishing organization, and used to dealing with Data and delivering insights and getting results from within a matrix organization.
