About the Role

MarketWatch is looking for a Digital Acquisition Manager to run our global digital acquisition campaigns. You will develop our acquisition strategy and focus on acquiring new subscribers for MarketWatch globally.

You will report to the Associate Director, Digital Acquisition.

You Will:

  • Develop the end-to-end strategy for our digital marketing campaigns, aimed at acquiring new subscribers for MarketWatch globally.

  • Manage ongoing campaigns, working with internal media teams to ensure that campaigns goals are met — and pivoting strategy when goals are not being met.

  • Ensure media budgets are satisfying business goals. This includes re-evaluating the media mix when business goals are not being met.

  • Provide post-campaign analysis — drawing on successes and failures, to identify tactics that are working to achieve goals.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscapes and new technologies affecting digital marketing and digital distribution platforms (i.e. Facebook, Google).

  • Identify new opportunities to move the business forward — i.e. new markets, new digital platforms, potential media partnerships, or uncovering general business efficiencies that increase revenue and profitability.

You Have:

  • 3 or more years of relevant digital marketing experience.

  • Experience working in paid media channels — paid search, social, display and affiliate. Experience marketing mobile applications through paid media channels is advantageous, but not necessary.

  • Experience running end-to-end marketing campaigns that encompass owned, earned and paid media properties.

  • Value-driven, digital-centric capabilities with the ability to anticipate media usage trends and new opportunities.

  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate and resolve challenges.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and projects to hit deadlines.

  • (Advantageous) Experience working in news or publishing, media organizations, or businesses focused on subscription revenue models.
