Dow Jones Content Marketing Strategist in NEW YORK, New York

Job Description:

The Content Marketing Strategist is responsible for bringing Dow Jones' B2B brands to life by developing compelling content assets, engaging digital experiences, and optimized channel plans. The strategies will align with business KPIs and contribute to success across all Dow Jones professional Information Business units.

Responsibilities & Activities:

The Content Marketing Strategist will collaborate with the marketing leads across our different business units and participate in content strategy, preform analysis to inform content themes and audience development, and recommend appropriate content formats. The Strategist will also identify and manage strategic amplification opportunities to build engagement and pipeline.

  • Leverage insights from product/brand marketing leads to develop priority audience segments, identify resonant themes and promote Dow Jones’ commercial offerings.

  • Help identify external thought leaders or influencers manage contract copywriters, and where appropriate, be the primary liaison for contracted content development relationships.

  • Develop content channel plans that leverage content marketing technology.

  • Manage content library and work with marketing team members to maintain collaborative workflows and process among internal stakeholders and contributors

  • Responsible for content amplification and driving maximum execution of plans, including identifying content gaps to ensure content for all levels of the buyer’s journey.

  • Track success of content program KPIs, topics and formats, compile analysis and provide recommendations for future programs.

  • Stay abreast of content marketing trends in order to follow—and transcend—content best practices, including content development resources and thought leader identification.

  • Manage the marketing team copywriter.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience; B2B marketing or comms experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written.

  • Experience with content management and marketing technology tools, e.g., WordPress, Uberflip, NewsCred, Eloqua.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and HTML

  • Proven track record of owning and developing content programs for a variety of audiences, preferably within a B2B environment.

  • Data driven decision maker - experience using data to inform what’s working, what’s not, and where to focus efforts.

  • Bonus: Visual Thinker with the ability to imagine and create/plan visual assets such as infographics and videos.
