About the Role:

The Client Associate is a necessary team player, partnering to sell integrated media solutions and partnerships to clients. You will support designated Client Partners to prepare proposals, maintain excellent client relations, produce leads, and sell to clients within the Luxury, Enterprise and Financial services industries industry to achieve quarterly revenue goals.

You will be exposed to selling market-leading solutions and partnerships including product integration across the entire Dow Jones portfolio, custom content, conferences, online and print.

You Will:

New Business

  • Search for contacts based on priorities from the CP/Director

  • Search for updates in LinkedIn/Factiva, etc. (promotions, starting new jobs, Thought leadership)

Meeting Preparation

  • Identifying the key decision makers for the client lists we are prospecting.

  • Learn the agenda they share in social media priorities for marketing strategy.

  • Brief the Integrated Marketing team with insights on the client

  • Prepare a few key topics/questions to ask

  • Focus time around Contalto & Media Radar to see what they are doing in the space

Proposals

  • In collaboration with Client Partner and other teams, preparing and sending proposals to clients

  • Answer client's questions regarding the proposal

  • Work on revisions to the proposal and setting the deal until the performance stage, and then transfer it to planning to manage

Client's support

  • Work on several requests from clients including billing RFI, research requests, competitors data, screenshots etc

  • Share WSJ published content that features clients

Team's support

  • Cover for Client Partner and Associate Client Partner when needed

  • Prospect/research projects for the team

Upselling - post sale

  • Work with planning on the wrap deck/report analysis for clients.

  • Share the relevant insights with the client and finding a few ideas to upsell the deal based on the performance results

You Have:

  • 0-2 years' experience in advertising sales support is required

  • B2B & B2C media sector knowledge is preferred, or understanding is advantageous

  • Proven experience in providing client support and service

  • Proven ability to work well within a team environment while accomplishing individual projects

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft and Google applications

  • Strong familiarity with non-traditional media solutions, including custom content and conferences

  • Strong familiarity with traditional media, print and digital media
