As the Business Manager for the Office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will undertake a range of activities to support operations and planning within the CEO’s business area. The role is designed to provide a level of support to the CEO that incorporates awareness and knowledge of business needs and objectives to ensure time is used as effectively and efficiently as possible, while remaining aligned with the goals of the company. This includes providing business intelligence and analysis of key operational indicators and flagging areas that need attention (in conjunction with the COS, Finance and Strategy). The Business Manager should be well versed in initiatives around the company, to keep the Executive, his direct reports and stakeholders up to date on key information and required actions. The Business Manager will also pick up responsibility for various CEO projects to implement (in conjunction with the COS, Finance, and Strategy) for the Company.
Work with CEO, Chief of Staff, sales, marketing and other key teams across Dow Jones and News Corp to help shape and deliver the CEO’s client and partner engagement strategy, targets and plan. Ensure clear coordination and communication across teams and timely identification of opportunities.
Work with CEO, Chief of Staff, and other key colleagues across the business to ensure high quality, focused programming, planning and execution of the CEO’s events for his key leadership and management teams.
Briefing documents and agendas for meetings
Weekly tracking reports and scorecards
Ability to create and execute briefs that reflect and align to broader business strategy and priorities
Extremely detail oriented with a strong understanding and knowledge of brand
