Department/Role Overview: The Business Development Specialist plays a critical role in collating, coordinating and integrating qualitative and quantitative information in order to help meet B2B Sales sales and client services objectives globally, specifically with RFPs & RFIs. The Specialist acts with minimal supervision to ensure outputs including, but not limited to: Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ) and works to ensure Proposals are created in an accurate and timely fashion in accordance with client expectations.

The primary responsibilities of the RFP Specialist are:

  • Act as a central point of contact for all incoming and ongoing RFPs.

  • Ownership of the RFP project timeline from beginning to end, ensuring RFP deadlines are met by establishing, prioritizing and tracking progress.

  • Creating the initial draft responses with special attention to aligning our standard database responses to the questionnaire questions on topics such as company data, products and operational process. The Specialist will ensure that answers are compliant and relevant to the region and business line.

  • Curation of software includes helping with assignment of questions to SMEs, monitoring the SME's work within the review cycle to ensure content remains up-to-date and relevant; using the appropriate metadata and handling bulk updates as needed.

  • Work effectively with internal subject matter experts to develop consistent, compelling responses to satisfy proposal requirements

  • Oversee end to end production of standard question sets that the client/prospect requests.

  • In addition, the RFP Specialist must refine the document employing high editorial standards, an ability to cite passages that may require clarification and supporting proof/data points, analysing and amending content/data gaps, and confirming strategy/product alignment.

  • Act as the central point of contact with the software vendor, RFPIO, and for internal users of the software, coordinating user access, training, integration with Salesforce and communicationsRetention and Reporting

  • Build standard proposal templates based on Business Unit and Buying Centers.

  • Manage reporting metrics and share them quarterly with business stakeholders.

  • Work on ad hoc projects as needed.

Skills and Qualifications required:

  • Relevant degree and/or work experience within the sector (ideally a minimum 2 to 3 years)

  • Experience in either the completion of RFPs, RFIs and Due Diligence requests or in a relevant function such as Client Reporting & Sales Presentations Production

  • Familiar with RFPIO or similar RFP repository.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong editing/writing

  • Strong project management, with the ability to work on multiple proposals simultaneously.

  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Communicate and influence at a senior level.

  • Motivated self-starter with ability to implement tactical initiative

  • Ability to work under tight timelines and meet deadlines
