The Business Development Manager will work with the Director of Business Development and with cross-functional executives and key leaders, both internally and with partners, on critical projects that drive Barron's Group’s revenue and audience objectives. A critical part of the Business Development team, the Manager will drive business-critical projects from beginning to end and manage relationships with strategic partners.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the Business Development Associate
Manage implementation and ongoing operations of strategic partnerships, including executive escalations.
Structure and consult term sheets and agreements for business-critical partnerships.
Oversee the content pipeline for new and existing commerce partnerships.
Develop strategic and quantitative market analyses to identify and prioritize business opportunities and risks.
Collaborate with a broad range of internal constituents (e.g. Product, Engineering, Sales, Legal, Editorial), to define, present, launch, and drive critical partnerships and organizational initiatives.
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
3-5 years of experience, preferably in a client facing business development position at an internet or media company.
Experience in the advertising and/or media industry.
Ability to form and articulate contractual, technical, financial and strategic value points and trade-offs with partners and internal teams.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple time-sensitive projects with an entrepreneurial, open-minded, collaborative, and committed approach to business.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Analytical, detail oriented, and results driven.
