Dow Jones Audio & Video Strategy Manager in NEW YORK, New York

Job Description:

Dow Jones is looking for a manager of Audio and Video Strategy -- a key role in expanding Dow Jones position as the trusted source of news and information for decision makers. You will bring a strategic skill set to the organization, working across teams to help expand Dow Jones audio and video activities both on Dow Jones sites and apps and on key 3rd party platforms. Additionally, you will look at both optimizing existing performance and finding new areas for innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Explore emerging trends in the audio and video news landscape and evaluate opportunities in areas (e.g. as smart speakers, new platforms, new business models)

  • Work with Partnerships team to understand operational needs and business implications for new audio and video opportunities with 3rd party platforms

  • Partner with the Business Intelligence team on in depth analysis of performance and areas for improvement

  • Work with Experiences team to track competitive product status and roadmap development

  • Partner with Newsrooms on developing new audio and video opportunities

  • Manage and track team KPIs

  • Assist in developing best practices for multiple content types and genres

  • Monitor competitor and marketplace activity and growth opportunities

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with key partners

  • Support strategic and executive presentations/updates (deck creation)

  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree

  • 3+ years of experience with a focus on strategic work

  • Deep understanding of digital video and audio landscape

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and provide action-oriented insights.

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple time-sensitive projects with an entrepreneurial, open-minded, collaborative, and committed approach to business.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Excellent collaborator capable of working across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment

  • Detail oriented and results driven

NYC Pay Range: $50,000 - $180,000
