About the Role:

The Dow Jones Corporate Communications team is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Communications Intern for Summer 2025. This 8-week internship offers hands-on experience in media relations and internal communications, providing a unique opportunity to support the amplification of The Wall Street Journal’s reporting in Europe, Middle East and Africa while also contributing to key internal initiatives in the London office.

As an intern, you will assist in monitoring media coverage, drafting media pitches, identifying journalist and producer engagement opportunities, and tracking reporter availability. You will also support internal storytelling efforts by helping to draft internal articles and contributing to the coordination of employee events. Throughout the internship, you will gain exposure to high-profile projects, engage with senior stakeholders, gain insights into working in the media industry and develop valuable skills in internal and external communications.

You Will:

  • Monitor and assess media coverage to identify opportunities for The Wall Street Journal to engage with the news agenda.

  • Assist in drafting media pitches and outreach materials for journalists, producers, and bookers.

  • Track journalist and producer engagement, compiling insights on key media contacts.

  • Help coordinate reporter availability for interviews and speaking opportunities.

  • Sit in on media calls and internal discussions, taking notes and supporting follow-ups.

  • Maintain accurate tracking of earned media, compiling reports on placements and engagements.

  • Contribute to internal communications efforts by assisting in the writing of internal articles and announcements.

  • Support the coordination of internal events, helping to ensure effective planning and execution.

You Have:

  • Completed at least two years toward a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and compelling messaging.

  • A strong interest in media, journalism, and corporate communications.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A proactive mindset, with a willingness to learn and contribute meaningfully to the team.
