Dow Jones Senior Research Analyst I - Bespoke Research in LONDON, United Kingdom

Job Description:

Chemical Market Analytics, by OPIS, a Dow Jones Company (CMA) is looking for a Senior Research Analyst I who will assemble market research and analysis related to multiple ad hoc bespoke research requests. You will also play a key role in supporting the VP, Directors, and other Senior Research Analysts of Bespoke Research within CMA.

You Will:

  • Collection and organisation of chemical research, insights, analysis and data that is used in bespoke research projects

  • Help prepare models, data sets and analytics for activities covering multiple bespoke research projects Support proposal preparation for client requested bespoke research projects

  • Support the bespoke research VP, Directors, and other Senior Analysts in producing the reports, presentations, and other deliverables for client’s bespoke research projects

  • Leverage intra-company expertise and content to support deliverables.

  • Attend industry events as requested to promote CMA business initiatives

  • Travel to support projects. Approximately 5% of time.

You Have:

  • Degree in chemical engineering or chemistry preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, Information Systems Management, Data Science or relevant discipline will also be considered

  • Demonstrable relevant experience

  • Knowledge of the energy and chemical value chains and ability to quickly gain an applied understanding of market dynamics

  • Analytical and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex content.

  • Advanced skills in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets)), PowerPoint and the use of analytical tools such as databases, spreadsheets, process documenting and business intelligence applications.

  • Experience of data visualisation applications, data analysis and data modelling skills

  • Someone who is keen to pursue a career in the analysis of chemical and energy markets.

  • You should enjoy working with multiple partners across different levels of the business and using multiple in-house systems.

  • A proven ability to manage and make progress on multiple projects running in parallel, prioritising and using strong organizational and project management skills.
