Dow Jones Marketing Associate in LONDON, United Kingdom

Job Description:

The London-based Marketing Associate will support The Wall Street Journal’s Global Marketing Campaigns Team. Through effective brand campaigns, strategic partnerships and content marketing, you will play a crucial role in the company’s mission to grow The Wall Street Journal internationally.

The ability to work effectively in a global team is key; you will work with multiple team members based across the world including in New York, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo and you will report into the Associate Marketing Director, based in Hong Kong. The Marketing Associate role includes both b2b and b2c responsibilities and the ideal candidate will be ambitious, creative and data-driven with a passion for understanding the brand, customers and product.

You will:

  • Work with the Commercial Partnerships and Education sales team to identify and engage prospects. This includes executing b2b marketing campaigns and creating compelling sales materials and case studies.

  • Manage the marketing for EMEA and LATAM commercial partners to drive strategic objectives.

  • Raise awareness and increase engagement of WSJ amongst young audiences via our university and commercial partners in the regions.

  • Share membership best-practices with external partners via presentations and workshops.

  • Adapt existing marketing campaigns for international markets and identify new opportunities to grow WSJ internationally to drive brand awareness, consideration and membership growth.

  • Oversee creative development, including briefs, feedback and rollout for campaign assets.

  • Exercise a thorough knowledge of the brand and key competitors, alongside an ability to balance team goals with overall company objectives.

You Have:

  • A bachelor’s degree.

  • 1-2 years experience working in a marketing or communications role. Media or publishing is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills in order to develop strong relationships with multiple stakeholders and collaborate effectively with other teams across the business including Sales, Operations, Data, Events and News.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, work independently, and complete tasks under time pressure.

  • Excellent project management is able to keep teams to a tight deadline and work across time zones.

  • Prior experience of SalesForce, marketing automation systems and Adobe Analytics is a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret data as it pertains to key metrics in order to inform your marketing decisions.
