Our Customer Solutions Engineers (CSE) are critical technical partners for our sales teams and customers. The CSE will drive integration opportunities for Dow Jones’ customers and partners who range from cutting edge startups and incubators to the world’s most respected corporations.
In addition to working with customers, the CSE team defines best practices and architecture patterns relevant for customers needs and incorporates trending technologies and techniques to the proposed solutions.
Work with Sales and their prospects and customers looking to understand and exploit integration possibilities with Dow Jones data and services. Developing solution design and implementation documentation
Advise and mentor prospective customers on their development of integration with Dow Jones data and services including building and managing proof of concepts
Share best practices, model designs etc. with prospects/customers for both technical development and successful negotiation of customer’s internal approvals processes
Provide feedback to Dow Jones Product and Technology teams on emerging requirements and customer technology trends.
Technical account management of customer post-sale, to facilitate adoption of Dow Jones data and services within the customer organisation
Contribute to the team’s portfolio of best practices and processes.
Stay aware of emerging technologies and techniques that can be beneficial to the role and team.
Skills & Experience:
Ideally more than 5 years’ prior work in a customer-facing customer engineering role
Software development experience using Agile development practices.
Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Python and NodeJS languages.
Demonstrated experience building and leading technical product demonstrations that include APIs.
Business acumen and strategic problem solving skills to assist with customer requirements
Experience responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Professionalism and a customer first approach
Experience working with Google Cloud BigQuery
Strong coding skills in any modern programming language.
Experience working with Cloud services for data ingestion, processing and storage.
Experience and familiarity with our products and lines of business including Factiva, Risk & Compliance, VentureSource, Newswires, etc.
