Job Description:
The Part-time Production Assistant performs a vital role in timely & efficient newspaper production & distribution of company publications – The Wall Street Journal & Barron’s. Responsibilities include set-up, operation and light maintenance of state-of-the-art programmable equipment in the pre-press & packaging areas; and preparation of product delivery documentation, and facilitation of organized bundled newspapers to delivery trucks.
Position Location: Federal Way, Washington
Salary: $20.41 hourly rate with a $1500 Sign-On Bonus
Job Responsibilities:
The Part-time Production Assistant performs a vital role in timely & efficient newspaper production & distribution of company publications – The Wall Street Journal & Barron’s. Responsibilities include set-up, operation and light maintenance of state-of-the-art programmable equipment in the pre-press & packaging areas; and preparation of product delivery documentation, and facilitation of organized bundled newspapers to delivery trucks. The PA also assists with the press make-ready & clean-up and reel room newsprint preparation. This position requires standing, lifting, bending, and modest physical exertion throughout the shift within a safety-conscious culture. A proactive team effort contributing to the Production department's overall mission is required as is support of company policies, programs and objectives to include, but not limited to, affirmative action, safety, environmental issues and facility work rules. On time attendance is critical to the day-to-day planning and success of the operation.
Job Schedule:
DAYS PER WEEK: 5 (30-35 hours per week) Facility is in operation Sunday – Friday
HOURS/SHIFT: 1:30 pm – 9:30 pm (Start time varies depending on business needs)
DAYS OFF: Varies. Must be willing to work holidays
Qualifications, Experience & Education Requirements:
High School graduate (or GED Equivalent)
Mechanical aptitude
Solid computer skills (Google & Microsoft Office applications)
